DAVID PROTTAS

After ten years with the New York City Ballet, David returned to professional theater, training at the Actor’s Foundry in Vancouver and making his Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning revival of Carousel. Other notable credits include the first national tour of An American in Paris (dir. Christopher Wheeldon) and Marie: Dancing Still (dir. Susan Stroman) in Seattle. David originated the role of Soldier in the world premiere of Stravinsky’s Soldier’s Tale at the Seattle Opera, and starred as Riff in West Side Story at the North Carolina Theater. He has acted on television, in numerous award winning short films, and in national commercials. He continues to work in LA as an actor, freelance dancer and ballet coach.
